Description
Avanade currently seeks a Senior System Analyst at its Houston, TX facility. S/he is responsible for developing and testing mission critical enterprise solutions, including web services, enterprise portals, and mobile applications. S/he participates in the implementation of custom application development and selection using the .NET Framework, ASP.net, SharePoint technologies, and other Microsoft components. S/he provides professional consulting services on major enterprise initiatives utilizing the Microsoft Framework. S/he contributes to the development of Avanade’s intellectual property, by designing, coding, and testing software. S/he maintains and repairs applications according to technical and functional specifications. S/he creates, documents, and conducts tests to ensure that applications and technical environments meet performance requirements. S/he identifies and implements configuration changes to packaged software applications. S/he plans and implements all actions required to deploy the applications, and assists with the planning, analysis, and definition of high-level software strategies and solutions. S/he defines functional and technical requirements of applications.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
The position requires at least a Bachelor or better degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering a closely related quantitative degree, plus 5 years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate professional experience in the job offered, or in a related position, such as Information System Consulting, SharePoint Development or IT Development. In addition, the applicant must have professional experience with (i.) SSRS reports; SharePoint Technologies: Development and Administration; and integration with SharePoint and Microsoft CRM; (ii.) .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, TFS, Visual Studio; (iii.) WWF and WCF; (iv.) MS Build scripts in a build manager capacity; (v.) RDBMS technologies (e.g., SQL Server and Oracle); and (vi.)Implementing applications for Oil and Gas Services Providers
