The Dynamics AX Technical Consultant realises results for customers through the application of specialised knowledge and implementation of Dynamics AX solutions.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
- Engage with project team and the customer to design the solution architecture.
- Plan, manage, execute and close client workshops and meetings to derive technical requirements
- Perform hardware sizing to appropriately specify infrastructure and architecture requirements.
- Install, configure, deploy and optimise Dynamics AX environments.
- Plan for, and migrate new or legacy data into Dynamics AX.
- Perform gap-fit analysis to identify and document new custom functionality to be developed.
- Design, validate and document customisations to meet functional requirements.
- Develop and quality-assure customisations that meet functional requirements.
- Improve systems or processes through pro-active consultation and a drive for excellence.
- Deliver technology consulting and advisory services to internal and external parties.
- Participate in bid execution and pre-sales activities.
- Assist in fault analysis and problem remediation for support incidents as required.

- 3+ years of experience with Dynamics AX (current version or 1 version prior).
- Deep development experience with X++, MorphX and .NET.
- Theoretical grounding in model-driven layered architecture and declarative programming.
- Practical knowledge of the Dynamics AX technology, architecture and platform.
- Experience with peripheral technologies (e.g. SharePoint, SQL Server, SSAS, SSRS, Windows Server, Hyper-V etc)
- Have used a recognised ERP implementation methodology (e.g. Sure Step).
- Current certifications in Dynamics AX is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of at least one domain area (e.g. Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing).
- Tertiary education in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
